"Be a Stitch" 
Join the Library Staff as we participate one of the fastest growing hobbies KNITTING. The knitting movement has people of all ages, especially young adults, moms and daughters, seniors, friends, etc.  gather in an organized group and getting their creative knit on.  Coffee and tea will be provided and pattern books are available to borrow. Food for Fines Amnesty Week
During December 4-11, the library is working with Caring and Sharing through the Berkley Schools.  We will reward you when you help neighbors in need with a food donation to Caring and Sharing.  Bring a non-perishable food item to the library and we will clear your fines.  We can only clear fines on items belonging to the Huntington Woods Library.  We cannot clear lost material fines.  This is a great time to search for lost library items and return them without fines and help your neighbors!

Parent and Teen Art & Brunch 
Enjoy this wonderful quarterly series with your teenaged son or daughter. Join us for one, or all four its up to you! Four unique and different workshops to be offered.

Local artist Jane Alkon will show you how to create an incredible piece of handcrafted art, inspired by the work of a world-famous artist.

This fun-filled art workshop series is sprinkled with just the right amount of delicious food to spur on your creative juices!  A light brunch buffet will be served during each workshop.

In our first workshop, Jane will show you how to create a terrific decorated wooden mirror!  You and your son or daughter will each create your own original piece of handcrafted art, inspired by the work of modern abstract expressionist sculptor Louise Nevelson.

A new library service called Download Destination offers downloadabledigital books and music to library cardholders.  Download Destination allows you to download selected books or music and read or listen via your computer
