A department of the Oakland County Government, the Office of Arts & Culture serves to enhance, strengthen, and promote the arts and cultural life in Oakland County through advocacy, promotion, funding, and programming initiatives.
To encourage community building
To preserve and celebrate the unique and intrinsic qualities of communities located within Oakland County
To foster cross-cultural understanding
To provide life-long learning opportunities
To provide opportunities and support to Oakland artists and arts organizations
To help meet the costs for educational trips to arts and cultural programs and venues, the Michigan Humanities Council and the MCACA are offering grants of up to $500 to any accredited Michigan K-12 public school.
