2008 Womens Commission for Oakland County

The Womens Commission for Oakland County held its first Public Forum on May 7th,
and is in the process of evaluating the information gleaned from all who participated
that day. This forum was the first opportunity for the public to address the Womens Commission on issues they considered important.
The public always is welcome at meetings of the Commission, and is always invited to share thoughts, concerns and opinions. Click on the schedule in the box to the left to see when you'll have the next opportunity to express yourself.
There are four areas that the Womens Commission for Oakland County is focusing on:
Economic Autonomy
Health and Wellness
Safety
Leadership

The Womens Commission is now seeking people to serve on the 2009 Womens Commission for Oakland County. Call your Oakland County Commissioner for an application. Your Commissioner can also provide information about what the job entails.
The Womens Commission for Oakland County also needs a volunteer to keep minutes during our meetings. If you would like to take on this responsibility, please contact Oakland County Commissioner Marcia Gershenson (District #17) at gershensonm@oakgov.com.
At a recent meeting of the Womens Commission, officers were elected. They are:

Recording Secretary: Ann Erickson-Gault
