The Economic Development Committee makes recommendations to promote business, industry and commerce within the County.

Committee Recommendations for 2011

Oakland County should bring the region's leadership together to form a regional business roundtable.

To assist site selectors, economic developers and property owners will collect information from the telecom companies regarding their general service areas and capabilities:

• Provide this information including contacts for service providers on GlobalOakland.com
• Develop a standardized web based questionnaire for site selectors that can be emailed automatically to the relevant telecom companies for their response
• Post on the web site a list of key questions companies should answer when considering the broadband service they require
