Any law enforcement agency in Oakland, Genesee, Livingston, Macomb, Washtenaw, or Wayne Counties that are interested in sharing data can join CLEMIS.

How do I join CLEMIS ?
The Chief / Director of the law enforcement agency must submit a letter in writing to Joe Sullivan, CLEMIS Manager (see contact page for address) requesting participation or membership in CLEMIS. The letter should include the location, size, and population of the jurisdiction. CLEMIS would like to know how many sworn officers are in your department, approximately how many calls are received, and number of arrests for the current and previous year. Your agency must be willing to share data with other CLEMIS participants. Your request will be reviewed by the CLEMIS User & Terminal Committee, and a recommendation will be made to the CLEMIS Advisory Committee.

Where can I get Budget information ?
All increases are self-imposed by the Chiefs and Directors who serve on the CLEMIS Committees. The CLEMIS Advisory Committee is the final voice on fee increases. CLEMIS Staff is unable to quote future costs.

How do I get Help with my CLEMIS application after hours?
If you are a CLEMIS participant and need help with your system, first ask your System Administrator for assistance. The Administrator should contact the CLEMIS Service Center at 248/858-8812 if additional help is needed.

How can I submit new streets or updates to the street file?
It is extremely important to submit new and missing streets, address ranges, and intersections. If files are not current, addresses cannot be verified and critical statistics could be missing from InfoView reports.
Print the .pdf version of the “New Street Listing and Updates” form. When completed, fax the form to (248) 858-5140.
OR
Download the Excel version of the “New Street Listing and Updates” form. When completed, e-mail your form to mccabek@oakgov.com
CLEMIS staff will update CLEMIS system street files and forward to the Oakland County GIS Department. If you are not an Oakland County agency, you need to submit the form to CLEMIS staff AND your own County GIS department.
