Micrographics Unit

Using 16 MM film and a rotary camera, this unit films each page of every document in liber and page order, creating rolls of film containing 1800 to 2200 images on each roll.

Film is developed, duped and provided in Ektamate cartridges to the Tract Index Unit. Additional duped copies of the film are sold to title companies and other companies who have their own indexing plants.

From the film, this unit also provides Tract Index with paper copies for their use in maintaining their mortgage and deed books as well as their computerized mortgage tracking system.

This unit also microfilms documents from other county departments, including Probate Court.

Another service this unit provides is the creation of photo copies ordered from the Real Estate Unit. Photo copies are made as they are ordered from the Real Estate Unit and other county departments; such as, the Road Commission and are billed out monthly at a rate of $3.50 per page.

The cost of filming is also billed out to the appropriate department on a monthly basis.
