Give Your Baby A Healthy Start!
Whether it is your first baby or fifth baby, a healthy baby begins with a healthy woman. If you are of child bearing age:

Take a multiple vitamin with folic acid daily

If you have a medical condition like diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures make sure it is well-controlled and your medications are appropriate for pregnancy

Brush your teeth twice daily and floss daily (any infection even a cavity can cause premature labor)

Achieve your healthy weight

Eat healthy, 5 servings of fruits & vegtables a day

Make sure your immunizations are up to date

Don't smoke

Don't drink alcohol or use street drugs

Consult a physician regarding using over the counter drugs, herbs, and nutritional supplements. Make sure they are safe during pregnancy.

Avoid second hand smoke

Exercise
-
Avoid exposure to radiation, xrays, lead, or other possible toxins

Manage your stress level, seek support for issues that cause you stress
