Instructor-led Training Services

The Oakland County Training Center provides instructor-led training services for the County's standard software products such as: Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer. 

Training is available to Oakland County employees and Oakland County Information Technology customers. All classes are conducted in the Oakland County Information Technology Training Rooms. A student guide is provided for instruction purposes and becomes the property of the student at the conclusion of the class.   A maximum of 16 students per class is allowed to ensure that the students receive the individual attention they deserve. Students are provided with their own PC making hands-on experience a priority.

The Oakland County Training Center produces a quarterly Course Schedule (file size 120k) of classes.  This schedule contains the time, date, location and duration of all classes offered.

If you would like to register for a course, On-Line Registration is available for your convenience.  You may still register for courses via inter-office mail by completing a Registration Form (file size 33k) and returning the form to the IT Reception Desk.  This can be done through inter-office mail or by faxing the form to (248) 858-1006.  At this point in time, on-line registration is for Oakland County employees only.  CVT employees must continue to use the paper registration method.

Due to the Building Security Policy (file size 4.98k) in place at Information Technology, an IT escort will be required from and to the Lobby area.
