Motion Call/Court Call
Generally, probate motion/court call is heard on Wednesday or Thursday mornings depending on the judge assigned to the case. Most judges set matters at 8:30 a.m. Some set matters at 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Check the Notice of Hearing for your particular matter. The time and date will be listed.
- Tuesday Judge - Judge James Alexander generally hears his probate motion/court call on Tuesdays, at 1:30 p.m.
- Wednesday Judges - Judges Martha Anderson, Linda Hallmark, Cheryl Matthews, Eugene Arthur Moore, Daniel A. O'Brien, Elizabeth Pezzetti and Joan Young generally hear their probate motion/court call on Wednesdays.
- Thursday Judges - Judge Mary Ellen Brennan generally hears her probate motion/court call on Thursdays.
- Docket Sheets - Please check the court docket sheets, which are posted on the wall outside the probate counter area. If your case is highlighted you may proceed directly to the courtroom, otherwise, you must first stop at the probate counter to file documents needed for the hearing.

Mental Health Hearings
Mental Health commitment hearings are generally heard by the duty judge on Monday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

Register hearings are held on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the office of the Probate Register.

Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court
The Oakland County Circuit and Probate Court Citizen's Alliance present this informational seminar. It is held throughout the year at various locations within Oakland County. Experts, including probate court personnel, estate planning attorneys and trust officers, will enlighten and educate you on various probate and estate planning topics.
