Household Hazardous Waste


Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive ingredients are considered to be “household hazardous waste” (HHW.) Some paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides contain potentially hazardous ingredients and require special care when you dispose of them.

Oakland County does not have a county-wide HHW disposal program. However these three HHW programs service many of our communities:
