Macomb County - Red Run Inter-County Drain Shoal Removal and Bank Stabilization Project


This project involves the rehabilitation of the Red Run Inter-County Drain and consists of repairs to approximately 28 outfalls to the Red Run Drain open channel, removal of shoals in 27 areas and slope repairs at various locations using bio-engineering techniques. Gary Nigro, P.E., is the Water Resources Office project engineer assigned to the project. Engineering design for the project is being provided by the Army Corps of Engineers. The estimated project cost of the project is $2,120,000. A fall 2010 bid date is scheduled. Financing for the project will be by a grant from the Army Corps of Engineers.
